In search of a quality, non-branded handbag

Hey everyone

I’m on the hunt for a black leather tote bag. Plus a shoulder bag in either tan or burgundy. I’d love the bags to be lined, practical, but also have some edge. I hate anything fussy. Do not want it branded. At all. Minimalist, Copenhagen, street style. Beautifully cut. Price no issue.

I love the style of Demellier’s New York. And Polene’s Cyme alternative. There are some gorgeous bags elsewhere too. But I just don’t want any logos. I don’t want anyone to know who or what I’m carrying, if that makes sense.

I’ve looked at Arket, Cos and &OtherStories. Some lovely styles. But many of them are unlined, don’t seem to hold their shape and I feel might be overpriced for what they are.

No idea if he’s still there or if he has the style you want but there was an independent maker in Greenwich market, he made them himself. Real leather, genuine craftsmanship. Try online for such makers too. Even posher shops will be sweat shop made
