Can I re-shape builder gel nails at home? They’re too square!

Hi. Nail tech did an amazing job of builder gel but they are far too square, I asked for oval but think it got lost in translation and I didn’t want to say anything once I’d noticed. Can I re shape to oval at home with a normal emery board or am I going to mess it up? Thanks x

I reshape and file mine and they look fine

they will be more likely to peel/chip as you would have broken the seal.

I reshape/cut/file mine (need to keep nails short, can't let them grow out). They've never chipped or pealed (so far!).
