Which polkadot dress for evening party

I have ordered both, the black one from M&S and white form Mango, I’m a size 6 and want to wear it to an evening party (5pm onwards) at a friends house party in early May. Whilst I wait for them to arrive I thought I would ask Mumsnet style gurus which they prefer and also how to style it? I’m south Asian skin tone (think Anita Rana).

The black one is in the current ad, looks lovely it’s got the sweetheart neckline which is much nicer than the white one

The ties on the side of the black M&S dress would bother me, not very stylish really, the Mango dress look a bit sleeker.

Depends on how big your boobs are. Reckon the black one would flatter larger breasts more than the white one.

Saw the black one in store this week. As an amateur sewing person. It's absolutely gorgeous. The layers of chiffon, in the skirt, the shaping in the bodice. They've really knocked it out of the park. My DIL size 6 was the first person I thought of when I saw it.

I agree. I tried it on this week. But my boobs are massive so it wouldn’t fit over them!
it has the line of rubbery stuff along the top to keep it up if that is helpful OP.

I don’t like white clothes so would always vote black! At a size 6 you could pull off either but I do think white also washes out paler skin tones and looks better with a bit of a tan/warmer skin tones.
