Footwear with bare legs - wearing dresses and long skirts

Other than trainers, and sandals when it gets warm enough, what do people wear on their feet with dresses and long skirts? I should add I'm not great in heels. Although I can manage with a low, broad heel.

Black Clark's type shoes flat ones

Usually I wear ankle or mid calf boots for as long as possible. Then move to loafers / slingback loafers or brogues, t bar shoes, flat clumpy mules or Birkenstock type clogs.

I don’t mind flatform sandals but almost never wear the dainty, barely there type that shops seem so eager to sell. I don’t like my feet to be vulnerable.

TBH I wear crew socks with hi top/low top trainers the majority of the time.
I get cold feet and do alot of walking so its the best option.

In a heatwave I might wear cheap canvas flats but naked feet creep me out so I try to avoid it!😄

Actually over the past decade or so I’ve been grateful that socks have been in fashion - so I haven’t had to wear tights at all. Wool socks in winter, silk in summer, with pretty much all boots or shoes.

I've just bought some ballerina flats in cream and a pair in black. I usually wear trainers but think these will be nicer in the warmer days.

Ah, I hadn't thought about ballet flats, thank you for that!
