Dress for Graduation - hot weather as not UK

I would love some ideas for a dress for my sons graduation. I am a 10/12 but wobbly tummy and don't want anything too clingy there, my arms and legs are OK but mid fifties so not amazing legs anymore so prob not a mini dress - I love the ideas that Style and Beauty give others in previous threads - the weather will be probably 30 C and humid and my price point is approx 100 - not too formal probably so I could wear it again and as it is outside/casual setting, colours wise I suit almost anything but tend to gravitate towards blues/blacks so would love to see other options to make me consider something new! thanks

These are over your price point but Liberty tana lawn is such a lovely fabric to wear in hot weather. It keeps you cool, calm and collected and looks immaculate. I first saw this dress worn by a colleague in the office on a sweltering hot day. She looked so cool and elegant and the quality of the dress stood out. In real life that dress is mid calf on me at 5'2/3"

I'd start from the fact that the day is around him and go from there.

Good luck

(Writing from the POV of an overweight mum who's DD had her grad last summer. This was the lesson I learned)

What a pointless and unhelpful comment.

Whereabouts is the graduation?

Far east? US?

There are different dress codes / sartorial expectations in different parts of the world.

@JudyP blimey what's your budget?
These prices are a shock to me.

If the graduation is in the US, you can get away with literally anything you're comfortable sitting in outdoors in hot weather. Bring 50 spf sunscreen or higher and apply it liberally. Also sunglasses, and water to drink. Graduations go on forever.

I wore white jeans, metallic flats and a 'nicer' t-shirt to the last US graduation I attended, with a light cardigan and an umbrella in my bag in case of storms. For the previous DC's graduation I wore a light polyester wrap dress and flats. There were people in shorts and people in suits, and everything in between.
