AIBU to think that a shop could really make it a selling point that they are consistent with their sizing?

Two pairs of jeans the same size, one is loose the other is comfortable and a little more snug. Loose one is in a darkish denim the other is a lighter denim.

Tried on the smaller size in the lighter, great fit although I didn’t expect it. Bought the size down in the darker colour more snug ( although they are bound to loosen up)

Would it not be a good idea to have consistent sizing?

In a word, yep! But in recent times l’ve found size variations in the same item but in different colours.

If they sold by actual measurements rather than sizes, that would definitely be a selling point.

That is exactly what I have found! If they did make sizes more consistent then the wait for the changing rooms would be cut too!

Yes, sick to death of buying clothes from the same label to discover huge size discrepancies. Also online sellers need to get far better at providing accurate measurements.

I sell on eBay and always provide detailed measurements.
