Smart-casual shoes that aren’t trainers?

Going to a ‘celebration of life’ next week. A relative has died, no black allowed and there won’t be a service, it will be a social gathering.

I am struggling to know how to dress. I want to dress smartly but brightly. Have gone for cream chinos and a lightweight colourful striped knitted top. But I’m not sure about footwear. Trainers make the whole outfit rather casual, and I’d rather err on the side of smart. Can anyone think of a shoe style that might work?

How about something like a canvas/linen type slingback or pump. Sort of like this from Toms.

Or boat shoes/loafer type style?

Any flat shoe. I'd go for almost anything from Pretty Ballerina. Cheaper options available from just about anywhere that sells shoes , including Tu and M and S
