Do comfortable shoes exist that can be worn with dresses?

I have wide toes and narrow ankles. I also have a bad back, which is made worse by unsupportive shoes. I normally wear trainers/ waking trainers to work (on my feet all day)

Heels are a definite no and I hate to have uncomfortable feet.

I am going to a wedding. I’m looking at dresses because I don’t want to be the only one in trousers again, but shoes are always the sticking point.

Years ago, I had some soft timberland pump type shoes that were smart. I’ve not seen anything like them again.

Do comfortable shoes exist that could be worn at a wedding with a dress?

Watching with interest as I’m in the same boat. Got a very nice dress for a wedding, severe arthritis in both knees, can’t really wear heels.

Sole Bliss has some. Plenty of smart flats. M&S wide fit have a few too but they are really loafers. Such a shame they seem to have ditched wide fit pumps!! I usually spend a lot of money to get really comfortable shoes.

I didn't expect any responses! Thank you!

These sorts of shoes just slip off. To fit my toes, they just fall off my heels.

Have you looked at Hotter?

With your wide toes and narrow ankle combination I think you'll need something with an ankle strap to keep them on.

I have the same feet as you and cap ligaments and have never been able to wear heels or slip on. Fit flip have some pumps called Allegro which do actually stay on
