My normal foundation is No 7 Beautifully Matt but I want something lighter for daytime. Mature, combination skin with fine lines. Thanks for any recs 🙏

Have you tried no 7 protect and perfect advanced all in one? SPF50. I use it most days and it's quite a nice light foundation. I'm 52 and it gives a good natural result

Thanks @Stressybetty No I haven't tried that. I was thinking I might need a more specialist product for beach etc. It would be good to use No 7 though as I know the shade that works for me.

Try mixing your favourite SPF with some glowly primer and a bit of concealer. I make my own makeup nowadays (often by mixing on the back of my hand) because I find most foundations are awful with fine lines. You might compromise on SPF effectiveness a little bit, so re-apply regularly.

Erborian cc cream is great for a blurring/ skin perfecting effect and has spf 25. I would be very wary of relying on make up for sun protection though as if you used enough for proper protection you would look very over made up. I like the added protection of spf in make up but always use a proper sunscreen as well.

Would a tinted moisturiser fit the bill? I always feel that foundation is too heavy for hot weather and would slide off my face.

I came to say the no7 all in one and it's already mentioned! It's light, good SPF. However it slid off in intense humidity abroad, but it didn't leave any tide marks or anything. I think it's a tall order to find a truly lasting one in a hot/humid country.

I've always previously used tinted moisturiser but alas, it no longer cuts the mustard.

Thanks for continued suggestions everyone

This is brilliant, if the colour matches your skin (it only comes in one shade): www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00UHROTMG?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_3
