Lumi - can someone talk me through how it works please?

Just that really - DD 16 bless her is very very hairy. It’s very thick and dark too so despite waxing it grows back quickly and she’s so self conscious about it. It’s prominent on her lower back, upper legs and around her tummy as well as all the usual suspect areas.

We’ve tried shaving, epilating and as I say, waxing. I’m now seeing lots of ads for that Lumi thing and wondering if anyone has seen good results with it? Do you need to have shaved it all off first? Is it worth the ££?

Before anyone jumps on me she is adamant she wants rid of it.

Thanks

Do you mean the Phillips Lumea? I’ve found it excellent - and yes, you need to shave before using it.

Shamelessly joining thread to follow advice given. DD is only 10 but has very hairy legs, that is also very dark, and she's desperate to do something about it before this summer as she is already getting comments at school (a whole different issue). But she's 10... I'm hesitant about what to offer. I've also looked at the Lumea in the past as an option.

Not a sign of pcos is it? Just asking as have suffered terribly with it myself.

Philips lumea is fantastic. Gives great long term hair reduction, but just be aware it's no good for platinum blondes, red heads, or black skin.

Yes! I also have dark hair so naturally it’s more visible than blond and lighter shades and seems to grow ridiculously fast. I have one and it’s great. I only use it on my legs and thighs as that’s the only areas I shave. But I’m sure you can use it on pits, tummy and wherever
