Come hit me with your petite winter coat recommendations

Yes, I know it’s almost April…. I’m losing weight (finally) and am a bit of a coat addict, however this is largely because I struggle to find something flattering at my current size. I’m 5ft, and aiming to be a size 10 by autumn (currently hovering around a 16). I would like something practical, waterproof (or wool), warm but not hugely bulky, and reasonably presentable. Something like a parka. I quite like the plant hunter from Seasalt, but not averse to something a bit smarter. I like sustainable brands and happy to pay more. Could I have some recommendations for other brands to look at while I save up and shed some pounds? Petite not essential as kind as they aren’t built for giants! Thanks in advance…

Collectif do some lovely ones! I find their older ones are better fabrics, plus cheaper second hand!

Given how much time you have till winter then I would check out the charity shops in the rich areas near you to get a great coat at a bargain price.it would be worth looking at brands such as Windsmooras I have seen lovely coats from this brand that are 100% natural materials. Splurge on a nice/ expensive scarf that would spruce up the coat.

I got one a couple of years ago from landsend.co.uk in the sale after loosing lots of weight. Some people say the arms are a bit short in length but I actually find that's perfect for me. If you keep a lookout they'll probably have a good sale on (getting rid of sale stock) soon.

@AllTheChaos hadnt come across them before, not sure it’s really me (I’m quite minimalist/utilitarian) but they are lovely

@Britpopbaby yes I’ll be doing that too, and Vinted. Good to have another brand to look out for

@Losttheplotornot I’ve had land send coats before, will have another look. I sometimes find them a bit too warm!
