Well I've received the ASOS naughty email!

Well, I've finally had the email from ASOS about my returns.
I admit I have done my fair share of returns but it's not my fault ASOS don't seem to be able to have consistent sizing.
So goodbye my regular Haunt!
Anybody else received it recently?

What do you mean? They’ve ‘told you off’ for returning too many things? Since when was there a limit? I’m pretty sure the distance selling law (whatever it’s called now) would contravene that!

Well I don't get free returns anymore unless I keep £15 worth.

They brought a fair usage thing in last year (might have been 2023)

I think more shops will start doing this.
The amount of influencers doing hauls from different shops is insane.
There’s no way they’re all keeping everything they’ve ordered.

I suspect that many shopping hauls on social media are sent straight back costing retailers money to process the return.

I saw something about ASOS and Boohoo doing very badly in terms of profit.

I had one order on my ASOS account with 3 items and I returned one of those items and got hit with their returns penalty as soon as they rolled it out 😂

Can you just create a new account with a new email?

I think you can contact them and challenge it. I’m an infrequent shopper so I tend to do big shops. Before this rule they used to completely close accounts due to suspected fraudulent activity 🤣 Got it reopened.
Wouldn’t do that these days given their financial difficulty.

I got this last year.
I checked.
I tend to shop twice a year, usually in sales. Between 30-100 quid each time.
I often have to buy two sizes, because I'm almost tall (5'8) and their sizing is nuts. And they don't give measurements.
I send stuff back if it doesn't fit or is totally off picture.
I really wouldn't say I'm a prolific sender back.

The thing that drives me mad about this is that I would rather shop in person, but that's very difficult to do these days, especially if you work in the week and several times recently I've asked for a different size to be told order it online! Sizing is also really hit and miss so it's hard to know what size will fit ordering online

Yep. I can shop online while I'm having breakfast at 630. I don't want to spend a couple of hours at the weekend trawling round shops. Shops that won't have what I want anyway. It can't be that hard to have virtual try ons - like you do with glasses or kitchens or paint. It'd be like playing with paper dolls again!

I had this last year with next, the thing was them saying to go in store and take a look, one, they don't have many sizes, two the most I brought from their website was other brands which I can't buy in the store.
