Holiday capsule wardrobe - help needed!

I've recently lost 3 stone and have gone from a size 18/20 to a small size 12. I have three more weeks of Lighterlife to go so it is increasingly feasible that I may even be a size 10 by the end of it... in which case I will have absolutely nothing to wear!

I also have no idea of what's stylish/fashionable that would suit my new body shape - I have been this size since I had DD 3.5 years ago, so have been in 'does it cover my stomach/upper arms/wobbly bits' mode ever since and am finding it quite difficult to shake myself of that attitude.

I am asking for Debenhams vouchers for my birthday in July so that I can get a personal shopper from there for some advice on restocking my wardrobe, but in the meantime we are going away for a week on Monday and I was hoping for some advice on what to pack/purchase for - we are going self-catering so the less I have to pack the better!

So far, digging out the pre-pregnancy clothing that isn't ridiculously out of date I have:

Wide leg white linen-mix trousers
2 black t-shirts
2 black vest tops (1 ribbed, 1 shiny)
white 3/4 sleeve cardi
black ribbed cardi
black flip-flops
black ballet pumps*
black tankini swimming cossy (still paranoid about tummy area!)
1 pair black shorts
1 flippy black/white on the knee skirt
1 black ankle length bias-cut skirt
1 black bias-cut knee-length dress with a gathered, gypsy-style top (? not sure if this still passes the fashion police test?)

*see rant on AIBU!

Would this do for a 5 day break? Is it all a bit too monochrome? Looking at what remains of my wardrobe, it appears I didn't do colour before I had children! Also, I have no jeans that fit me any more, should I invest in a pair of crops/full length ones?

We are going away in the UK, hoping the weather stays good! The in-laws are coming too so we may get to have an evening out (ooh, the luxury!) and I would love that spotty knot-front dress in green from Boden (here) or a raspberry-coloured embroidered skirt that I've seen in M&S which annoyingly isn't on their website (have a pair of embroidered mules that would go beautifully with it!) , but don't know if I should be buying random stuff with no real idea of how to put it all together, which has been my MO with clothes until now!

We are away again at the end of July for 2 weeks, so anything I buy I'll get my use out of, iyswim, but I don't want to spend willy-nilly... waah! I need help! When did I become so crap at shopping?!

I'm not the best person to advise, I am crap at planning wardrobes, but just wanted to congratulate you on your weight loss and hopefully bump for the style experts at the same time!

Congratulations on the weight loss. I did the same with Ll last year and got to a size 12 too. However, am now in a 14 and am about to have a 3 week blitz to get back into my 12s.

What you are planning sounds like a good base which you can then continue to expand with more as you go along. Don't forget the sales will be on before your next break too.

I would let your weight settle before spending too much tbh but congratulations.

There is a lot of black there, celebrate your new body with some colour.

Thanks everyone

I know, I don't want to go mad spending money on clothes in case I put some weight back on (although I am determined not to - famous last words...!) but having looked at what I've got that fits me, it seems relentlessly monochrome - and I have no idea what colours to buy! When I was big, I used to buy a lot of beige, brown and tan (so no more of that!), pre-DD I liked scarlet and emerald green, neither of which are currently fashionable...!

Anyway, I gave in to temptation and took advantage of the 20% off Boden offer and bought that dress (double ) so now I have something green and spotty in my wardrobe too The M&S skirt was gone when I went back for it (probably just as well, but because it was lovely)

So - jeans! Yes? I reckon so.... I'm a long-bodied, short-legged apple so will go and investigate the apple thread to see what they recommend now I have no bum/thighs but a chunky waist...
