Wedding coming up soon and have both these dresses.

Which do you think is better for an indoor wedding / reception at end of March?

thanks

Neither
both materials look like they’d crease within seconds

Radish81 · 23/03/2025 17:22

But the patterned over green if pushed

Chungai · 23/03/2025 17:22

I think the green one feels more appropriate for less warm weather but they are very different colours so I would think one would suit your colouring more than the other.

Gundogday · 23/03/2025 17:22

Looking at the dresses, I think they would suit different figures. The green one would suit a pair shape body more, or someone with small boobs. The brown one would suit someone with more of a cleavage.

Both are lovely. However, end of March could be warm or freezing, so that’s so thing to consider also.

nonmerci99 · 23/03/2025 17:23

I like the one on the right better!

varden · 23/03/2025 17:24

Patterned one. The green dress looks quite unforgiving and the neck is a bit high, but maybe you are stick thin and can carry it off. If so, it's either, but the patterned one is the nicer imv.

NiceProblems · 23/03/2025 17:24

I prefer the orangey brown one but it depends which one suits you best.

SantanaBinLorry · 23/03/2025 17:25

The green is lovely!

Birdsongsinging · 23/03/2025 17:26

Thanks for comments so far. I bought the green one first and I like it but it is very creased and I think the neck is too high for me so would need to be stitched down or ironed down.

I am also not convinced that the green is the best colour for me whereas the Anthro one looks better.

I am fairly thin and think both look good on my body type though / they give me a bit of shape! I do have reasonable boobs tho!

The patterned if I had no choice but the two given. Both have pretty unforgiving material

Birdsongsinging · 23/03/2025 17:29

The patterned one’s material is much more forgiving and I do like it.

i am running out of time to find something else!

The second one (patterned)
It's really lovely!
Very weddingly!

RuthW · 23/03/2025 17:30

The green one with a jacket. The long one isn’t suitable for a wedding.

Sunnytoday01 · 23/03/2025 17:31

Both lovely but completely different. I don’t like the black tights styled with the green dress.

fruitbrewhaha · 23/03/2025 17:32

Neither, you’ll be too cold. Unless the wedding is somewhere very warm of course. But in the UK no.

Birdsongsinging · 23/03/2025 17:34

This is the green one on (unironed) - I don’t have a photo of the other one at the moment.

The green looks like it's possibly satin type material. Looks amazing but it clings, so therefore is unforgiving! I personally prefer the patterned dress.

You’ll sit down
stand up
creased for entire evening

Birdsongsinging · 23/03/2025 18:01

I did get it from the shop with big creases across it but the fabric itself is a bit naturally crushed looking. I might iron it and then see how much it creases. The brown one is nice but I’m just worried that it’s not weddingy enough.

I think both look a bit summery for the end of March.

the mint green one (which looks ridiculous with the black tights on the model, but I presume you would wear it differently) looks like it would crease very easily which would put me off.
