Adidas spezial- almost like a support running shoe?

Just trying my new ones on they feel odd. Like the inner foot bit is really high up like my old very supportive runners for overpronation were. Js this normal?

I found that, it just seemed in completely the wrong place for me, but I find this with Birkenstocks too, and they give me blisters on the arch of my foot. Other people say they fit the shape of their foot really well, so maybe it’s my foot! I bought their court shoes in the end, they’re a similar shape, but not quite so much! Though I prefer the style of the Spezials.

I feel like I must've tried on a different pair but after a few mins they felt ok

That’s good, maybe I just needed to spend another 10 minutes wandering around the shop in them! It was difficult to get anyone’s attention so probably no one would have noticed! What colour did you get? I was going for fairly neutral as I have deep green and pink Nike Cortez.

Yes I find this. Think gazelles are the same. Have come to the conclusion that my feet aren’t adidas shaped. The sticky up bit is under the wrong part of my foot.

Can’t wear adidas either, I haven’t yet found a style that’s comfortable for me. I’ve just got some Pumas that are great though.

HolidayHappy123 · 22/03/2025 19:48

I thought they felt weird when I first tried them on. Now I consider them the most comfortable shoes I've ever owned and I have 3 pairs.

I have high arches and while my Spezials and Gazelles Samba fit ok they are not my comfiest trainer

I've joined at bought some Campus and while not worn them they did feel more padded

Reebok classics are my confiest

I broke my ankle wearing gazelles. They don’t agree with my feet at all. Other styles are fine though. I find sl72s super comfortable.

I had a pair of Pumas I loved - gorgeous lilac and blue and comfy from the off
These will likely be ok but not my comfiest pair
