Derby / Equestrian (?) attire for formal wedding - what's appropriate?

DH and I are due to attend a "derby fashion" type wedding that's being held at a proper foxhunting club. We found a fantastic suit for him: very bold, floral, and spring. The bride has seen and approved. However, I'm in limbo on what color hat would be appropriate to wear for my outfit?

My dress color will most likely be solid, either Highlighter yellow or Lime green. My question is: would it be inappropriate to wear a white tea hat/wide brim/fascinator? Should I play it safe and stick with tan?

Please help, as I don't want to bother the bride with any more random texts. I'm sure she's overloaded already 😅

Going by your husband's suit description, I'd probably go for a wide-brimmed hat in a different neon pastel - orange, or the lime/yellow you don't wear. And abundant flowers and/or fruit upon it.

Or something like this? https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/1267715567/orange-blossom-headdress-citrus-fruit

Sounds like fun! Enjoy yourselves!

@GarlicStyle Oh wow! I genuinely love this suggestion and hadn't even considered something like a floral crown - Thank you!
