Help! haircut tomorrow and just can’t decide

I have thin hair that is mid length with a curtain fringe and middle parting. It’s actually curly but I always straighten or wave it and never tie it up. I’m going a bit grey and it’s becoming noticeable enough that I will start dying it soon.

Anyway, I’ve been thinking about getting a bob for ages and I have a cut booked tomorrow. Should I do it or not? Do you have a bob? What are the advantages over longer hair? Will it age me ? (I’m 43) I was thinking of starting with a long bob and then it can always get cut shorter next time. I get my hair cut every 6-8 weeks.

French bob is apparently all the rage right now...

I've just gone from boob-length hair to a chin-length bob and I love it. First time I've had short hair as an adult. I have thick hair. I wanted an Italian bob but it has come out as more of a French bob. Go for it! Worst case scenario you grow it back out. I'm enjoying it not being as tangled, easy to wash and dry, it feels much healthier, and I've also had loads of compliments on how I look.

I don’t think I’m brave enough for this yet!

Start with a long bob first. To go from long to short can be a massive shock. That way if you don't like it you can still tie it back till grows out. If you do like it you can always go a bit shorter next time

I have a French bob with curtain bangs I also have fine hair ! (I’m a hairdresser)
Short bobs are the latest trend !
And your hair will feel a lot thicker
it all depends on your face shape though tbh x

What did you decide to do in the end?
