Wearing short/cropped tops when you have a belly

I am tallish and a 12, so not very large, but I am apple shaped. Always used to wear longish tops to hide my belly.- very unfashionable I know- but lately I have explored wearing boxy short tops that just hit the top of my hipbone. Look so much better, I think. Anyone else found this? Just replaced all my long tops.

I'm also a tallish 12 and I love high waisted jeans and a cropped t-shirt. It is quite flattering. I'm not an apple but perimenopause has given me a tummy I did not have a few years ago.

I am post menopause so the belly seems impossible to lose. Wearing these with my high waisted Levis.

You could try it with a vest top underneath. Primark sells really cheap ones ( thin straps)

What you don't want is ultra cropped, to the waist and high waisted bottom is the way to go.

Yes I guess I am looking for short but not too short. Just below my waist. Vest tap is a good idea.
Going to gradually replace all my longer tops. They look dated and blowsy somehow.

If you like the tops you have maybe get them shortened.

I’m an apple shape and think loose long tops make me look bigger, but anything too fitted highlights the stomach rolls. I need fitted but not too fitted!

Cropped t-shirts are great for my belly but they need to be boxy and not stretchy. Sometimes I'll wear a strappy 'chemise' top in a pattern underneath - it hangs loosely about 2/3" below the t-shirt and does an even better job of hiding belly!
