Wedding guest outfit - is this ok?

I haven’t been to a wedding in about 10 years so am a bit unsure on guest fashions these days; majority of guests likely to be late 20s / early 30s.

I'm late 30s, 5’10 hourglass, bright spring and it’s so hard to find outfits that are genuinely flattering in both style, cut and colour! I’ve bought this, which looks really lovely on and makes me feel confident, but could do with some reassurance that it’s not too bright and I’m not going to accidentally commit a major faux pas with it.

Also any advice on colour for shoes / bag? I don’t like sandals so will probably be looking at kitten heels / wedges - thinking maybe in a sparkly gold with a matching clutch?

Lovely!

I love it! And yes to wedges. Sezanne have some gorgeous wedges and cloggs, if you have the budget, or even just for inspiration if you've not.

It looks perfect.

I’m wearing similar in green to be a bridesmaid soon! It’s lovely.

I wore bright red to wedding a couple of years ago. The invite actually stated, dress in whatever makes you feel good, although it was quite "nice" middle class .
Literally everyone else wore something in a shade blue. I looked a total show off.

I’m sure you didn’t! I doubt most people noticed, and those that did probably thought you looked lovely or were feeling embarrassed that they’d all chosen to wear blue!!!

OP, I think it looks lovely, classic wedding outfit, at least from the 10 I went to last year!!!

Thanks everyone, this has given me some much needed reassurance! Onto accessory shopping 😆
