Which retinol or other skincare should I use

So I'm late 40s with dull skin. I slap a bit of Olay moisturiser on my face with spf in the morning.

I've got some Drunk Elephant Powerpeptide Resurfing Serum which I use a couple of times a week and I do like the contents but the packaging is a nightmare and the pump doesn't work half the time and when it does too much shoots out - I think I've wasted half the contents on my floor so it's put me off the brand. Which is a shame because the stuff seems good and looks like they do a retinol.

I also have some Aldi 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliant which I think is a knock off of a Paula's Choice one. Would I carry on using that as well as a retinol or would a retinol replace that.

I've been browsing the Space NK website thinking maybe I should start using a retinol. Is Paula's choice a good one - seems a reasonable price. The 1% retinol?

Then what should I use in the morning if I'm doing retinol at night. I saw a Byoma brightening serum with hyralonic acid in it - would that be good to use in the morning?

Morning - Vit C serum (naturium do a good one), moisturiser of choice, SPF
evening - double cleanse with oil and then water based cleanser - Byoma balm is good for first cleanse. Retinal - use medik8. Start three times per week and build gradually (see how your skin tolerates it)
yes to the BHA - use 2-3 times per week and in the morning

Thank you, that’s really helpful. The medi8 looks good stuff.
