How to wash black jeans.

I have a pair of black black wide leg m&s jeans. They need washing. How do I do this without them getting those grey lines and colour fading. Inside out on a cool wash? Please advise. I've had so many pairs that went grey.

Just buy some dye and dye them back if they fade?

Put them inside out and make sure the temperature is low and as PP said, dye them if they fade too much. I use Dylon that goes in the washing machine, bit of a faff cleaning after but it’s good for refreshing black clothes that have faded.

Dylon do a black detergent, and other colours . It's called Dylon renew

I use a washing liquid that is especially formulated for black and dark clothes, rather than colours. I use this and wash my black black jeans inside out at 30deg and they have kept their dark black colour. I'm not in the UK but I'm sure a washing liquid for black clothes must be available there.

Inside out, cool wash, and the Dylon renew washing pods do seem to help. Don't tumble dry and give them a really good flick before hanging up to dry to get rid of any creases

Cold wash, tiny amount of washing liquid and go as long between washes as possible. Good denim jeans don't need to be washed that much.

Dylon dye pods. I am amazed at how colourfast they are and often just use them on black jeans to prevent any fading.
