Not really stylish or beautiful but after some guidance really.

I don't really have periods anymore (injection and now mirana coil) but my Son's girlfriend (17) was here recently and asked to borrow some tampons (she doesn't use towels). What should I get for her to use and for disposal to make her feel at ease?

Thanks

Ask her?

Comedycook · 08/03/2025 20:07

That's a bit bizarre...why on earth can't she get her own?

MagdaLenor · 08/03/2025 20:07

How odd! She can buy her own, surely?🤔

Just tell her sorry you don't use them but she is welcome to leave a box of hers in your bathroom for emergencies.
Choosing them and buying them for her is weird.
Unless there is a back story in that you think she isn't supported properly at home or is financially struggling, in which case I'd ask her what she uses so you can add some to your next shop so you csn keep them in the bathroom for her.

I think she'd got her period unexpectedly. I'll ask her about her preferred brand and add to our next shop.

Should I get sanitary bags for bin disposal?

I've never used them at home. Just make sure there is a bin in the bathroom that is lined with a bag and has a lid.

I think it's nice to have some tampons and towels at home for guests incase they're caught short. I have some in the downstairs loo in a little basket in the under sink cupboard.

It's up to you. It's your house.

This is a bit odd. It was an emergency and she asked you , you don't have to buy them for her.
