What to wear for a job interview at a casual office?

Just that really, if you were attending an interview at an office where most people wore jeans, what would you wear? Or, if you’re working and interview candidates in the same kind of environment what would you expect them to be wearing?

I've always worked in media (post-production editing) where everyone is super casual but for an interview i've always worn smart attire. Shirt, trousers and loafers. Once i've got the job i wear jeans and trainers.

Not jeans or trainers. I would dress semi smart, no jacket or suit but smart skirt or trousers and nice top/blouse with polished shoes. I think just because people wear jeans in the office doesn't mean you should do the same for the interview.

Business casual.

I work at a casual office, people still come in dressed smart.

Dresses and tights
Trousers and smart top

For interviews, didn't word that right

My place of work is very casual. I was smart but not in a suit. Jeans are far too casual to wear for most interviews, although I was on an interview panel with my current employer and a colleague looked like they had just rolled out of bed! Good luck!

This. For any industry.

I recruit for my industry and if anyone is too casual they don’t progress even though day-to-day we are in hoodies.

Attending an interview you need to be smart
as it shows you’re interested in getting the job

Smart but interesting is maybe the way to go.
