Marks and Spencer’s original ballerina slippers

Anyone know who makes anything like the original Marks and Spencer’s ballerina slipper, which was velvet, with no elastic, and quite a firm slipper ?

My mum is coming up to 89 and has had these bought for her several times a year for probably over 30 years.
They changed for the worse a couple of years ago, and now have been replaced with a horrible elastic thing.

Mum can’t wear moccasins due to the stitching, rubbing her toes, and I want some thing firm and nice for her to wear.

She wears them all day in the house, and when visiting in other peoples houses, she will take them with her too,

Any recommendations appreciated. She can’t wear a mule, and nothing with upper stitching. It needs to stay on the foot, as she needs to be stable when walking.

Thanks

I was going to suggest Clark’s Freckle Ice - a really comfortable, soft leather ballet-style shoe, which I wear in the house, but they now only have black on their website. Some other colours available on Amazon and maybe in independent shoe shops?

Worth a look on Vinted? There seem to be BNWT pairs that look like they fit this description.

No idea about the M&S ones but my mum and MiL (both mid 80s) have worn these for years

Moshulu www.moshulu.co.uk/ballet-slippers-c10

Really good quality firm slippers, they also do other styles if she needs more foot coverage

Thanks I will check all of your suggestions

The pavers look good, but the patterns might put her off . The M&S ones are really more reserved in their appearance, less slipper like
( I worry she will say they are old-lady like ) I know she is about to be 89.. 😀😀
I will still consider though, and might buy a few different ones.
I will look on Vinted, and I like the look of the Moshulu, not cheap, but I’ve spent hundreds on them over the years.
Thank you.

They do less lairy versions and much more "old lady" ones. Mum likes the spotty ones
