Cosy, thick leggings for girls

MrsDonDraper1 · 04/03/2025 15:25

Please recommend me some warm, possibly fleecy, leggings for primary aged girls. Suitable for this cold spring weather, so not thin material.

I got some on Vinted from Nutmeg at Morrisons but Morrisons doesn’t sell clothes online so can’t get more of the same. These at Next possibly look like they might fit the bill? Any more that anyone has tried and tested?

Vertbaudet

Primark

MrsDonDraper1 · 04/03/2025 15:47

Thanks both. Haven’t shopped at Vertbaudet before, will check it out. Primark would be ideal if they had some to reserve online, I may have to grit my teeth and do a trip there…

Next do some really good ones in a wide range of colours

Ihatewinding · 04/03/2025 15:57

I've used those Next fleece lined leggings for my daughter, bought them since she was 2, so 2-3, 3-4 and now in 4-5. I rate them, they are tumble dryable as a bonus as well. I would say they come up a little on the short side so if your DC are on taller side then I would size up so their ankles don't get cold due to gaps between leggings and socks. I like the range of colours as well.

MrsDonDraper1 · 04/03/2025 16:33

That’s really useful detail @Ihatewinding - thank you!

There's loads of the Primark ones on Vinted.

Uniglo have good ones I use for my 3 yr.

AuntieHistamine · 04/03/2025 16:43

I have those next ones for my daughter and we also found some similar ones in Uniqlo

I love Vertbaudet! Had loads of nice stuff from there. And always offer codes on!

MrsDonDraper1 · 04/03/2025 18:03

Thanks everyone, some nice looking ideas to check out.

I bought myself some fleece lined ones for m&S which feel actually warm when I put them on! I wear mine under baggy jeans to keep the draft out.
i don’t know what sizes they offer them in but it’s worth checking to see if they do them in kids sizes. Father Christmas delivered some to both my (grown up) dds in their stockings and they really rate them too.

TheChosenTwo · 04/03/2025 18:06

Oh, and the Uniqlo heat tech and extra heat tech ones have never been touched since I bought the M&S ones, they’re rubbish imo!!

Pigtailsandall · 04/03/2025 18:26

We have Uniqlo and Lindex ones. The Lindex ones are really soft and great for PE too

MrsDonDraper1 · 05/03/2025 19:50

Thanks to everyone who posted new recommendations!

H&M have some which you can buy individually.

Thanks @Wildflowers99

These are brilliant. Soft and fleecy on the inside and have been passed down between my daughters.

LuckysDadsHat · 08/03/2025 10:51

H&M and Lindex do fleece lined leggings. My daughter wears them all winter.

MrsDonDraper1 · 09/03/2025 19:43

I appreciate the latest suggestions, thank you. Was not aware of Dunnes but the price is good for those leggings. We did have some Lindex ones in the past and although they’re now £12.99 I’ve just spotted they’re 3 for 2 so works out better.
