Shoes too big, low cut pointy flats, need something to pad them out

Undecided between getting some insoles or what may be better is if I could find some padded (thickish) low cut socks that will not slip off.

I have size 8 feet and have found previously they end up under my heel.

Any ideas please?

Life is too short for ill fitting shoes.
just find a pair that fit you better.

They are not miles too big, maybe not even a half size and if they were trainers i could just wear thick socks but it is hard to find the "footsies" type socks that are thicker than tights material which almost makes them even more likely to slip off.

Heel grips and insoles

I rolled a pair of soft cotton trainers socks into a strip and lined the toes of a pair of shoes which are slightly too big. That worked well,

I've got these for a pair of shoes in my exact size but which turned out to be too big. They fit perfectly now.

Just shove tissue in the toe end

Thanks, will look into all these
