oh swoon, Brora discount codes, do they exist?

I have just fallen in love with this dress and I am trying really hard not to buy it....
If there was a discount code I could justify the cost then we would live on porridge and soup for a month. My dh wouldn't notice, its for me. I have 3 boys and It's silk, it will probably last a week, but I shall feel so special for a few days before it gets ripped/sicked on....

the link doesn't work.... i don't know about discount codes, but they have quite decent sales.

barking · 11/05/2008 18:55

gulp, it's not in the sale - I've just tried the link and it's working?
God I really love their stuff

Were you logged in to Brora when you copied the link barking? I can't get it to work either.

barking · 11/05/2008 19:05

Off to investigate....

I thought the link must be broken and was going to link to
this detail

I have never lusted after something so expensive. I think the most I have ever paid for a dress was £90 and that was for my wedding.
I want her hair aswell - the tousled one, not the windswept one. I love the empire design - I can breathe out!

don't spend that much money on a sack you will get it and be all sad that you aren't an arty bohemian collecting seaweed in the outer hebrides.

on the other hand they are a lovely company and highlight the cost of clothes that are not made in sweatshops in the developing world.

hoxtonchick · 11/05/2008 20:29

tis very beautiful. go for it!

MargaretMountford · 11/05/2008 20:30

get it barking ! I lust after a Brora cashmere cardi

barking · 11/05/2008 21:47

Oh thank you - I really want it but where the buggery is a discount code. I have felt like phoning Brora over this weekend and saying 'so what's your best price then?' but am far too timid. I wonder if it works?
Do you think it looks a little like a nightie?
Don't know if I can pull it off as I'm vertically challenged...

MargaretMountford · 11/05/2008 21:49

remember the model will be v skinny, so it might fit less baggily and nightdressish on a real person

barking · 11/05/2008 21:57

yep, off to check the returns policy. In my student days my friends and I would buy an outfit, wear it for that night then take it back to the shops the following week- all the thrill of shopping without the spending
Evil I know. I'm a good sensible mummy now - hence getting my kicks via expensive frocks
