I want to buy a really nice luxury lip balm, the sort which is in lipstick type packaging.

Tinted, but not too much, and very balm like.

Any suggestions?

YSL tinted balm is good. Lovely lipstick packaging

bobbi brown extra lip tint

Agree.

Hourglass glossy balm is amazing.

summerlovingvibes · 27/02/2025 20:42

Another Bobbi brown vote - love mine and lost without when I mis-place it sometimes.

Victoria Beckham posh balm, I love it and it doesn't dry my lips - some do

Eldermilleniallyogii · 27/02/2025 20:48

the Nars ones are nice

Waterlilysunset · 27/02/2025 20:50

bobbi brown

Kiko does amazing tinted lip balms in gorgeous packaging and really reasonable.
Also rituals - really lovely metal lipstick packaging.

I've repurchased the original Dior Lip Glow about 5 times over the years, beautiful packaging and the only effective lip balm to work on my dry, cracked lips. They've brought out a wider range of tints/ colours now but they don't seem to be as nourishing as the original neutral pink one.

Clarins lip oil balm (the lipstick one). I use it in a red tint and gives a nice glow, much more moisturising than Bobbi brown IMO.

Clinique Almost Lipstick in Black Honey. It's a standard for me. Moisturizing but not sticky or waxy. and a gentle tint.

NARS Afterglow Lip Balm
Elizabeth Arden 8-hour cream tinted lip protector
Chanel Rouge Coco Balme

Guerlain kisskiss bee glow honey tint in two shades honey glow and rose.

MargaritaPracticallyCan · 27/02/2025 21:08

This is lovely on, very subtle colour, super nourishing, but it does have that distinctive 8 hour cream smell which isn't loved by everyone: www.elizabetharden.co.uk/products/eight-hour-cream-lip-protectant-stick-sheer-tint-sunscreen-spf-15?variant=45184046530812

I love Trinny London

Chanel Rouge Coco Balm - absolutely gorgeous!! Amazing colours, some mat, some sparkly. Light coverage - no mirror required. Super softening and balm like. No nasty chemical taste / smell. Beautiful casing

Thank you all so much. I’m looking all these up. Lots of lovely choices.

I tried the Elizabeth Arden 24 hr lip tint and was disappointed - I'd been led to believe it was just as moisturising as the non-tinted cream, but it was actually quite drying (!) and if I use it, I need to put a layer of something on top, like Vaseline Lips

itsnothingoriginal · 28/02/2025 14:01

I really like Chanel Coco baume but the colour I have lasts about 30 seconds!

The Rituals one is lovely, very moisturising for winter months too.

Will have a look at some of these suggestions as I'm reluctant to buy Chanel again because the colour doesn't last but I love the luxe-ness of it and the case!

Came here to say this! It lasts a good while so worth the price and has good staying power. They do a pink honey one too now.

You can't beat Burts Bees.
