They have some really nice well designed well priced stuff in at the moment. Like whistles in its hey day. Must have a new designer. Well worth a look!

I like Mint Velvet. I know they are frequently lambasted on here, and their knitwear isn't great, but I've had some really nice tops and dresses from them over the years. I think it's just one of those places that you have to shop quite carefully in, but they usually have something worth looking at.

When I say their knitwear isn't great, I mean that it doesn't wash well, even with great care taken.

I've never found anything to buy in Mint Velvet - but have just bought one of the sweatshirts (the Palermo one) and it is so soft and cosy and very good quality, fitting in with my intentions to buy better.

So the jacket isn’t out yet “coming soon” and I’ve added myself to a waiting list. Let’s see how that works out - in my experience that is usually like dropping a stone down a well and nothing is ever heard again 🤣

Ok that suede jacket is now in stock so I’ve bought it and will report back!

Excellent @Delphigirl let us know what you think. I hope it is lovely and really suits you and makes you a wee bit happy just looking at it

Nice to see Mint Velvet getting in better pieces.
It’s only way for a brand to survive. M&S has got better, too.

Must have a look!

Everywhere is expensive now (apart from supermarket etc).

I was in Monsoon recently (haven’t been in years).
Was shocked at the state of the stuff… At those prices!

I’d rather buy their older stuff in the charity shop.

I used to love Mint Velvet but now find it to be expensive cheap clothing. I expect wool in a jumper at £100.

Ok verdict on the khaki suede jacket - love it. Really lovely soft suede, great colour, great shape. I bought M and L to try on - I am a small-chested short-backed 14 and the M is a really nice fit. I can get a thin but fluffy sweater under it happily and merino would be perfect. L too big for my needs but if I was going to put it over something chunky or just wanted a looser fit that would be ok. Returning that one.
I’m delighted!

I really like their stuff. They've definitely gone in a trendier direction. A lot of my friends have started shopping there. I guess it will appeal to some and not to others!

Thank you for the report! Sorely tempted but money won't stretch to it yet
