Rant: Why is there never anything good in the M&S sale online? 😡

Ugh. M&S is so shit. Do they hand out VIP sales slots like Next? All the good stuff are either not included or sold out quickly. This has been the case for the past 3 years with them, every damn sale either shit items on offer or the good already gone.
It's like a Debenhams now with a jumble of random brands and unreliable courrier delivery.

It's the same in store, the sale stuff is limited and not great. But I take that as meaning that they are doing a good job of pricing and stocking to sell at full price. Not them being shit. They only need to reduce the few really dud items that won't sell otherwise.

Sales are shit everywhere IMO. Next and M&S totally out of season items, size 4 or size 24 (great if you are those sizes), I just don't think sales are a thing anymore.

I usually feel the same but managed to get a pair of Sienna Miller barrel jeans and some side stripe wide legged trousers online this morning.

I didn't know there was a sale until I saw your post. Went on the app, have ordered 3 tops so thanks for the heads up. I think someone over ordered on jumpers though, have never seen so many in the sale.

I've been eyeing up barrel leg jeans just don't know if I have the right figure for that shape.

Same here, I have a feeling I will return them but want to try. I was online around 11am, not sure what time the sale went live.

Isn't it that all sale items usually comprise what shoppers didn't want to buy at Full price?

Yes, they were all M&S brand. Depends what you're after and what size you are I suppose.

Yes, there might be the occasional gem (especially seasonal so party dresses in Jan or winter coats in Feb for instance) but on the whole it's stuff they couldn't shift and that's always been the case.

I managed to buy a cashmere sleeveless jumper and a black long gilet, but the thermals and cashmere jumper i had in my basket sold out before I had time to check out.

I find next clearance is great , so many brands to choose from, and john lewis sale I've had some great buys, mostly in January, now there's not so much left.

Reporting back on the barrel leg jeans to say that they are surprisingly flattering and definitely keepers.
