Mascara Help - to tube or not to tube ?

I was getting utterly sick of my mascara ending in a ring under my eyes every afternoon in work, so started looking into options for long wear. I was using the Sculpted by Amy MyMascara (brilliant Irish brand if you don't know it), and i love how i got lovely fluffy defined eyelashes, but my eyes must water a lot because it wasn't staying put.

After reading about options - waterproof etc, I decided to get a tubing mascara, and got the No7 Tubing mascara (this one https://www.boots.ie/no7-pro-artist-thats-a-wrap-tubing-mascara-8-5ml-10358289 ) aaaaannnd .... its a fecking disaster. it clumps my eyelashes together so it looks like i have 7 lashes per eye, it get EVERYWHERE when I'm putting on. And to remove it, even though i'm using warm (even hot) water, it feels like i'm pulling out my eyelashes individually.

Suffice to say, not a success ... so do i give up on tubing mascara altogether, and go for a waterproof (if so which one ?) Or are other tubing mascaras less torturous ?

I like L'Oreal Air Volume. Blue tube, pink lid. Stays put all day. I just rinse it off when I'm in the shower (or pick at it and roll it into little balls between my fingers, which I realise is pretty disgusting, but I'm a picker😆)

I use the Hourglass one. It's superb.

OK so the Elf xtender is an actual reveleation !!! I tend to only like any mascara when they're getting to the end and there's a lot less product - this one is like that straight away :) no mess going on, lovely light defined lashes, best 8 quid i ever spent!

Hourglass Caution is not tubing but never budges and I get panda eyes with every other mascara.

I have also ‘invested’ on the basis of this thread and haven’t tried it yet so it’s good to hear you’re impressed 👍
