Heat protector to use on dry hair

Sometimes I need to run the straightener/hot brush through my hair to fix it but I don't need to wash or style it all over again. The heat protectors I use are ones that you apply to wet/damp hair before styling. Do I need to use a heat protector when I'm just touching-up? If so, any recommendations on what to use for dry hair styling?

I use a bit of extra virgin olive oil daily. A very tiny amount if brushing, a bit more before heat - but I have thick hair. Heat protectant sprays do nothing, argan oil does nothing, etc Together with Milkshake shampoo and conditioner and Philip Kingsley Elasticiser it has brought my hair back from straw. (PK shampoo and conditioner are a close second to Milkshake)

All of this wad the result of a truly pathetic amount of experimentation

Thanks I'll try to find that Wella spray (its out of stock on Amazon)

I don't fancy putting olive oil on my hair before using a hot tool, I don't want to fry it! Might try it as a stand-alone treatment though, so thank you.

I’ve been doing a lot more blow-drying and curling lately, and my hair was starting to feel dry and brittle. I tried a few different products, but what made the biggest difference was adding a good heat protectant spray to my routine.

I make sure to spray it evenly before using any hot tools, and honestly, my hair feels softer, smoother, and less frizzy now. It also adds a nice shine, which I wasn’t expecting.

If you’re looking for one to try, I recently found a heat protectant spray on Glowcept that’s lightweight, doesn’t feel greasy, and smells amazing. Definitely worth checking out if you style your hair often.
