Help needed with making me look like me on a good day.

I am mid 30s and have never wore make up but recently have started looking at myself in the mirror and finding that I’m looking like the day after a heavy night out.

Can anyone recommend an incredibly simple routine or products that look like me on a good day Not like I’m obviously wearing make-up.

My current routine to wake up wash my face and then just get moving. I don’t want to spend a lot of time so probably something that lasts less than 10 minutes. Someone has described me in the past of having winter colouring, but I’ve got no idea what that means.

thank you.

Just soap? Everyone was recommending various concoctions and I just wondered if you literally meant just wash your face.

Ideally, you should use some kind of cleansing routine that removes dirt and bacteria, without stripping your acid mantle (a layer of acidic sebum that prevents moisture loss and also inhibits bacterial growth). Soap is alkaline, so isn't great for washing your face.

Moisturising keeps your skin supple and prevents moisture loss. Many moisturisers contain SPF, which is vital if you're fair skinned and are outdoors a lot, as it reduces cancer risk, as well as the premature ageing effect of UV radiation.

You probably have pretty good skin if you've got this far on soap, without your face falling off! I'd recommend a cheap, basic skincare routine, that incorporates:

foaming face wash to replicate that soap and water clean feeling
daytime moisturiser with SPF
night cream

You'd need to decide if you have dry, combination, oily skin and get yourself to superdrug
