Please tell me about the roka Paddington bag

Does the external pocket fit a phone? And would it fit a book? I'm tempted but I like my phone kept separate and not sure it would fit in the front. Thanks!

It fits a standard sized paperback easily enough but the front pocket is too small for my phone. I have a Samsung Galaxy A55 so quite big. It does have an internal pocket which is plenty big enough for my phone and is easily accessible.

It's a terrible photo, but the best I could manage! I like it, I think pretty much everyone in my family has one now, but I only use the front pocket for my keys and bus pass.
