Foundation that won't just settle in my pores!

Hi
Looking for any recommendations from you lovely, knowledgeable posters!

I currently use Charlotte Tilbury's Beautiful Skin Foundation but lately I've found it just sits on my face and in my pores (or around my glasses on my nose) in a way it didn't used to. I do like it's coverage but need to find something new.

So does anyone know anything that fits this brief that I could try? Vital info:

  • I'm 48.
  • Skin is good I'd say. Fairly normal, not too dry or oily. Use serum, spf and and always remove make up well so I do take reasonable care of it.
  • Looking for medium coverage
  • Usually go for something that gives glow but open to suggestion if that's not a good idea at my age
  • White, pale skin. Usually use something that's in the very lightest few shades of any foundation, and probably with cooler/slightly pink tones.
  • Have tried this foundation over primers or not, and with setting spray or not. Same result.

What do you all use that absorbs and stays in place? Thanks.

Thanks for all the additional recommendations!

Looks very the idea of a £4 option to try @Breadcat24 !

I think I need to do more research on skincare. I have no idea if either my foundation or moisturizer are oil or water based. @MissAtomicBomb1 !

I use Cerave moisturising lotion under the CT and it works for me. I started using retinol/ tret a couple of years ago and I switched to a ceramide based one then.

I love the Trinny BFF foundation myself.

I find application process helps as well. As I've got older, I've had to be a lot more careful about application. ensure skin is moisterised and smooth. Then these days I use either a beauty blender or I've recently been using a big brush which I've smooshed ALL the foundation into and then apply.

Thank for this recommendation. As well as making more of an effort with my skin and prep, I popped into the Trinny store in Chelsea this week and picked up this foundation. Really like it so far! I just wore a light application of it yesterday and today but it's very natural a d light. Will build up for a bit more coverage another day and see how that goes.

I love the Jones Road foundation. I’m 51 and it works really well on my skin.
