What to do about under-eye bags?

I'm 49 and I feel like I've aged ok so far - I look my age, but fairly good for my age I think. But in the past couple of months things seem to be massively accelerating. I'm particularly noticing under-eye bags, and also a little bit of drooping round the mouth. I don't want to do fillers, botox, etc., and I know the real answer is just to learn to accept it, but I'm wondering if there are things that would help slow the progress a little. I've started on tret from Skin & Me - not convinced I can see much difference yet but I'm hoping it'll stop things progressing as fast. Are expensive eye serums and creams worthwhile - do they actually do much? Are there any particular ones people would recommend? Does face yoga work? Any other suggestions?

38 but I've felt the same over the last year or so, and the only thing that mitigated it a bit was botox and tretinoin.

I've experimented with facials, peels, laser, microneedling, masks and variety of other apparatus, non-invasive procedures and cosmetics. They all make a bit of a difference but you have to do them consistently and frequently because their effects fade quickly. It can rack up to thousands of pounds a year.

Botox is easy as it's 2-3 times a year and tretinoin is simply a strong night cream. I would stick with your Skin+Me for a few months and see where you get to. I've been using Monderma for a year. When I first started the tret I noticed an improvement to my fine lines and pore texture almost immediately but it took 6 months to progress from there.

Just keep at it and make sure you are staying at a healthy weight, exercising, and sleeping well and you'll continue to look great for your age.

Thanks @Jillfi, really helpful advice. I’ll keep going with the tret for now!
