Hairdressing - blow out

I'm rubbish with all things style and beauty so need some help please. I have a black tie event in July. I'm rubbish with my hair so I'm planning to get a "red carpet blow out" from a hairdressers near me. I need some advice though please. A blow out doesn't include a cut does it? My hair is roughly in the style it needs to be in by then, but will need a trim. It's bra strap length. Ideally I'd like a bit more length so I'm keen to avoid extra hair cuts. What would you do between now and then? A trim soon and a trim just before my blow out appointment? Does it need a trim just before? I'm so rubbish at things like this.

Sounds like it's just a wash and blow dry. If it included a cut, it would state cut and blow dry.
Maybe book a consultation, which are usually free, with a stylist at your chosen salon and they will be able to give you more personalised advice, specific to your hair type and what look you want to achieve etc 😊

If you are wanting curls or waves put in, I'd book a try-out a week before to make sure that the curls will stay in for a decent length of time.
