I can't quite believe I am asking this but....

I have bought these Birkenstocks and I very much love them. I want to wear them with socks. I want it to look a bit tonal. Not sure that's the right word. What colour (warm, woolen) socks do I buy? Pale grey? Pale pink? Mouse-colour. I am looking to avoid cold heels and aesthetically jarring feet.

Something a bit oatmeal to warm up the grey would also be cool, or pale grey. Woolovers have some nice ones.

Socks + Bostons = happy feet! I like falke socks, and they'll have some lovely wool ones in the colours you seek. I do this with my oiled tobacco brown bostons.

I don't have that colour of Bostons but I have a fawn leather pair, tan suede pair, and black oiled leather pair. These are my preferred socks with all of them - I have more colours than these which are maybe listed somewhere else on the website.

The blue marl looks great with light wash jeans.

Love socks and clogs, sandals and other open shoes. I like to either match the colour of the sock to the footwear or to what I'm wearing on my bottom half. Otherwise, sheer, pop, lurex/metallic, fishnet socks are a good choice too, as are classic patterns such as polka dots, fairisle.
