As it says really! My skin is normal, the odd perimenopausal spot, but usually just normal and ok. Boots prices, preferably.

Thanks!

I just bought the Aldi night caviar for 4.99...good reviews and needed some so I thought I'd try it. It smells ok which is important for me...not tried it yet though

I’m nearly 46 and use this Inkey List cream morning and night, with their hydronic acid serum too. I often get compliments on my skin

ETA you can get it in Boots! Sorry for long link

Check out Monderma, Skin+Me and Dermatica for retinoids (strongest type of retinol).

Request tretinoin 0.025% hydroquinone 4%. Some overseas online pharmacies sell them separately for a lower price.

I'm 43, got fairly normal skin and I've been using the Simple night cream and liking it, currently £6 odd in boots. I use a mixture of high end and cheap skin care with retinol (and Botox) thrown in. I was happy to see it recommended quite a lot on Tik Tok (though Simple maybe paid for the privilege!). It's nice without being too heavy.

Under a tenner, super drug vitamin E, under 20, hada labo from suoerdrug

piscofrisco · 13/02/2025 22:52

Also skin care-the aforementioned caviar creams especially-are great!
Otherwise a massive tub of the blue Nivea is as good as anything else tbh and a fraction of the price

piscofrisco · 13/02/2025 22:52

*aldi!

FoxtrotOscarKindaDay · 13/02/2025 22:58

Second the Superdrug Vitamin E day cream and night cream. Really sensitive skin and it has never caused issues.

I only use them and have for years plus elf eye cream.

Would love the dragons blood limited edition all over body one repeated too.

Jillfi · 13/02/2025 23:02

Superdrug vit E day cream is good.

CharlotteCChapel · 14/02/2025 01:38

Nivea Q10 night cream. I've tried others but i always come back to this.

eurochick · 14/02/2025 01:40

Weleda skin food night cream is good. The tub rather than the tube (which is too thick imo).

Normallynumb · 14/02/2025 13:39

I have sensitive skin so I use Aveeno night cream layered over hyaluronic acid serum alternating with inkey list Bakuchioil serum.. it's a vegan retinol type serum
All reasonably priced and well tolerated.
I'm 60 and happy in my own skin, so to speak!

RichPetunia · 14/02/2025 13:43

L'Oréal midnight crème is a lovely overnight moisturiser. It has a lot of the same ingredients as Lancôme, but retails at only @£20 for 50ml.

ShushImTalking · 14/02/2025 13:46

There's a Q10 night cream (and a day cream) in Lidl that is great. £1.49 last time I got one.

bigdecisionaboutwork · 14/02/2025 13:52

Bepanthen nappy care ointment. Very heavy but my skin is so soft in the morning - and it's only €8.49 for a big tube. Also the original Nivea in the blue pot, but the scent is a bit strong at first for me

NeedWineNow · 14/02/2025 17:09

I got a No 7 set for Christmas and have been using the Protect & Perfect Day and Night Creams. Really liking them so far.
