Ok if you go to my pictures and look at the top one of me today you will see my problem....

Bright! What can i do to stop my face being so pale! Ive tried lots of tinted moisterisers and tanning creams but i end up looking to dark or like an orange!

I think your hair is too dark for your skin tone which makes you look paler in contrast. I know as I have similar colouring!

Jazzicatz · 08/05/2008 18:30

I am the same - my advice is embrace the pale and interesting look!!!!

TheWiltedRose · 08/05/2008 18:36

Looking at your pictures - you suit more of a brown - you could break it up with some low lights or highlights for the summer.

TheWiltedRose · 08/05/2008 18:49

Aww no ill have to stay pale then i would hate being brown its just to....muddy for my liking and everyone round here had brown or blond or both

As an ex goth I can understand your dislike of brown. Thats why I say just enjoy the pale and interesting!

JenniferHart · 08/05/2008 18:53

oil of olay gradual face tanning moisturiser for pale skin. it will give you a slight glow. no more. definitely not orange.

Buda · 09/05/2008 00:44

You don't have to be boring - can have a base colour that suits your cccolouring and then add highlights - coppery/blondy would suit you more.

Have you tried the Dove everyday tanning lotion i am really pale only i have fair hair but i use this lotion i use the one for fair skin but apply it once every few days rather than every day.Everyone has been telling me i have caught the sun this week so must look quite natural.

PerkinWarbeck · 09/05/2008 08:03

i too am alabaster pale . But after many, many hilarious attempts at fake tanning, I have decided that the pale look is preferable. I highlight my hair, as this suits my skin tone a bit better, and always wear a little blusher or bronzer, to avoid the corpse effect.

I do wish I didn't have milk-bottle legs, but this is honestly preferable to bad fake-tan, and when you are really pale, every streak and missed bit shows so clearly.

PerkinWarbeck · 09/05/2008 08:07

oh, and I know this will be anathema to an ex-goth, but swap black eyeliner/mascara for very dark brown. black is so draining on pale skin, and you can still get a strong look with dark brown.

bluebell1 · 09/05/2008 13:56

Just thought i would let you know in sainsburys at the moment all dove products are buy one get one free.I have tried every self tanner going and no matter how much of a hurry im in this one always turns out great.Agree with PerkinWarbeck bronzer is also great the body shop do some lovely bronzing pearls.

i think you look better with brown hair or the lighter red colour.

Ledodgy · 09/05/2008 16:03

Faker tan or bronzer and browny, natural lipstick or gloss rather than pink.
