Fjarllraven bags - for teenagers?

I have seen a really nice one that I like but will I look like a 40 something year old woman carrying a teenager’s bag?

Disclaimer - I really don’t have a clue on this, so please don’t be offended if you have one!

I would say they are more popular with 40 year old women than teens? Certainly around here anyway. I like them and have had one before, go for it

They're great bags, fits everything. They have been around for decades by now so are pretty much classics for all ages. Go for it!

AllFours · 09/02/2025 16:19

No teens using them around here, I think they’ve definitely been relegated to the over 40 crowd!

In my 6os and I have one - lovely turquoise one and I love it. Washes up well too

One of my DDs has one at uni, she's 19. I travel quite a lot and see them being used as underseat bags on planes by a variety of ages. They are quite good for this as the boxy shape means you can get lots in. I have one, but I have other bags that I prefer.

Nearly 50 & had them for the last 10 plus years

Loveduppenguin · 09/02/2025 16:35

I think they’re suitable for any age. My dd (11) has a mini one, and I’ve seen other kids/teens using them. Also seen a lot of college students using them.

Which one do you like? I have a tiny Kanken sling, a leather handled tote which converts into a backpack & a few others

failingrocks · 09/02/2025 18:11

Which Fjällräven do you like? All ages have them where I live, from age 1 and up. Our kindergarten is full of them.

Ilovelowry · 09/02/2025 18:13

I work in a big secindary school that goes up to 18. Only the young kids have them, so the 11yr olds.

The oldest all have Longchamp, real, or fake.

Not around here. Uni students often have them.

I’m quite liking the Vardag cross-body but there are a couple of others that I like too.
