I am 50 and, generally speaking, my skin is ok. I would describe it as oily or combination, with big pores but quite bright, no major lines (a bit around my eyes).
About a year ago I started tretinoin on Dermatica and it took a while to see noticeable results but toward the end of last year my skin was consistently smooth, I haven't had a breakout in months and less fine lines. However, I still could not avoid wearing foundation as both the texture and colour of my skin weren't even on my face.
One of my new year's resolutions was to drink more water, so I bought a huge Stanley cup and I have been carrying it everywhere with me since the beginning of January. This way I really got into the habit of drinking regularly ....and that has had an incredible effect on my skin! How did it happen I never realized hydration is such a game changer? Where have I been living until now???
Skin is so smooth and even, in color, tone and texture, that I don't wear any make up most days (others just a bit of concealer). Still a bit oily, but I found a great powder to keep it under control.
I am now considering stepping up on my skin care and start dermaplanning. What else do you think would also make a difference?
