Stockings for 5 foot person

I have booked a weekend away next month for hubby and I. I would like to surprise him with some gorgeous underwear, including stockings and suspenders, as it's been a while. I have always struggled with stockings as they tend to be too long. I am 5 foot and about a size 12-14, but carry more weight on my legs especially thighs. I need a bigger size to stop the thigh fat over hang but then they just feel like they are too long to make use of suspenders. They are almost at my crotch.

Has anybody also experienced this problem and found some shorter stockings, if so where from?

I wonder whether Snag might have something? They cater to a wide range of sizes and whilst I don't think they do stockings they do do tights with the cutout that makes them look like stockings.

They have a lot of ranges that seem to be aiming for sexy and comfort.

Otherwise Anne Summers? I think they do 'proper' underwear and will definitely have stockings.

For day to day work wear I tend to go for these from M&S. Forget the reference to bridal.

From your description I would think a Medium would work, but large might work better. But, unlike you, I do like them to be high on the thigh. It's a confidence thing.

Alternatively, Charnos come up slightly shorter, they feel finer and are still quite robust but twice the price. For the Charnos, I would try a large.

Oh, and if you intend to wear them beyond the bedroom you need a bely with at least 2, preferably 3 hook fastening at the back. A single fastening digs in.
