My legs are so white they are more blue really, and I would quite like an off-white look for my legs so I look less daft in a skirt. I am after a body lotion with a little tan, rather than a fake tan itself. Today I wore tights to overcome the problem and if that did not look daft I do not know what did.

I am sure this has been done before, but I could not find the thread - sorry.

St Tropez do an every day fake tan that is idiot proof and doesn't look orange - I did 2 light sprays (its and aerosol) last night and have sun kissed legs which look fine in a skirt - it really is easy to use - £17.00 but you get boots points on it and it will last you all summer if you don't want that orange look!

this is good for pale skin and doesn't smell too bad

I like the nivea one best- the fair/med one doesn't seem to show up on my legs even tho i'm pasty as well without help! The med/dark one is good (and no scary streaks either). I always find that Johnsons smells of biscuits and streaks...hope that helps!!

I also bought a L'oreal spray tan (the dry one) today which so far has been good- no streaks at all

I like Nutrishimmer best.I use the dark one but they do a fair skinned one too. Never streaks,I use a glove thing to apply.

I am very pale too. I use the Oil of Olay one. It builds up nice and slowly, but does make a difference. I tried the Johnsons one and it was a disaster. Far too dark and orange and patchy for me. The Oil of Olay one seemed fool proof. I have an Avon one at the moment too and that is good as well. HTH.

well thank you all. I went into Boots chanting Oil of Olay to myself (quietly!), couldn't find the stuff and in a state of panic bought the Body Shop summer shimmer. I can report this is a very easy way to waste nine pounds, and after only 2 applications I am considering changing my name to Zebra Legs. trousers for me tomorrow!

The Nivea Body Sunkissed Skin is really good. It dries in quickly and doesn't streak. Try the one for medium to dark skin as I've found the one for fair skin hardly shows even after a few days use.

Don't forget to exfoliate and lightly moisturise dry areas (especially heels and knees) before applying.
