Are Crocs Prima shoes really that bad?

They are ballet pumps - do they carry the same fashion faux-pas status as say, the big clogs with holes in?

I need some slip-ons that are comfy and light (and cool) but don't want everyone to laugh at me

I will laugh at you.

But then what do I know, I am down to a ratty pair of Converse because I can't find anything else I like.

LynetteScavo · 07/05/2008 19:50

Don't LewisFan...don't!

Psychomum5 · 07/05/2008 19:53

well...

I like them too, but just cannot bring myself to buy any.....

how can I.....I will look for all the sniggering women and then come onto MN and find someone slating this awful woman, and realise it was ME.

and also, cod slates 'em, dare you even look at the things knowing that!!!!

hana · 07/05/2008 19:55

they are pretty hideous

have crocs for garden and beach

never ever for school run or general running about tho!

TheMadHouse · 07/05/2008 20:00

Hmmm

I could never wear a pair of shoes that I dress the kids in or that my MIL wants, but thats just me.

By the way, my boys love their crocs and did last year too

Alambil · 07/05/2008 21:00

BUT.... I don't FIT ANY other shoes - at all

I got some wedges in Evans the other day and they HURT a lot...

I neeeeed comfort, I neeeeed flexibility, I neeeeed light - I have hyperhydrosis (anyone see Sweaty Betty prog - it's that) and I sweat like mad... my feet get sooo hot

and I have no money!

so it's £19 on Primas or I set you a challenge to find wide, comfy, airy, cheap shoes that I can have instead?

My friend has black ones.

They look ok.

I won'tsay good, but ok.

NaughtyNigella · 07/05/2008 21:14

DD has black ones for school. they just look like black balletpumps (from a distance) she does say her feet get hot in them though.

nancy75 · 07/05/2008 21:15

lewis fan, are these shoes very wide?, i suffer from square feet and just need light weight shoes i can get on!

Astrophe · 07/05/2008 21:18

not really cheap, but light, airy and wide! I've got these and love them. They do also get slated on MN though!

Debris · 07/05/2008 22:07

Well mine arrived today, my feet do get rather unpleasant in the summer and I am sick of ruining perfectly good shoes. Im going to try them and their so called anti whatever it is that makes your feet smell. I will never ever be told what I should or shoulnt wear,so there. By the way they were £17 bargainesque .

CantSleepWontSleep · 07/05/2008 22:30

I've not got the prima's, nor seen them in the flesh, but if your toes are very wide then I'd hazard a guess that they won't be mega comfortable.

I have found the relief, the cayman and the cleo to all be very comforable, but the mary-janes are too narrow in the toe (similar stlye to these) and my feet are still recovering from wearing my newish sassaris at the weekend.
