Dupe for Philip Kingsley flaky shampoo

Is there one please?

We are on such a budget I have used H&S instead for the last 4 months and I just can't cope with the dandruff anymore! Philip Kingsley flaky shampoo really suited me, but I can't find it cheap online (I'm sure it used to be half price all the time). Is there a dupe please??

P.s. I already use nizoral once a week too

Thanks!

The only other brand I have found that worked for my very sensitive scalp was Keracare in the blue bottle (Itchy scalp). It's £8.99 on Amazon so still not cheap but cheaper than PK.

It's not really a dupe as has a very different smell/feel but might be worth having a read through the reviews.

You probably already do but keep an eye on Vinted for the Philip Kingsley one. They do come up sometimes.

Sanex anti dandruff shampoo is v good - it’s hard to find but you can get it in bulk from Amazon if you find it and like it. Often available for £2 per bottle. It’s not as good as PK (I love it and have used it for about 16 years so I feel your pain). But stops my DH dandruff and my son’s lumpy, dandruff build up on his scalp which was taking out his hair.

My daughter had really flaky skin/ dandruff and I tried the body shop ginger shampoo, it completely cleared it up but it's £16

Thanks all. I picked up something cheap from the supermarket today. Will check back in if it works... Depressing

I adore the Aveeno skin relief soothing shampoo for itchy scalp

HorribleHisTories15 · 31/01/2025 17:36

We found the Sanex Anti dandruff and sensitive Shampoos regularly at Savers @FreeButtonBee . It is also around £2.

Seb Derm?

I find H&S does keep it away once I get on top of a flare. Usually the Nizoral worked if used twice a week and left in for 10 mins. However going through the menopause things got bad again and I had to up the grade of the H&S to the Derma grade. It really did help esp the stuff you put on the scalp, left a while before rinsing off

@fuckthemail
I've just been talking about beauty boxes on another thread and then went looking through some and saw this one on TikTok shop and thought of your thread!

I'm not sure how much you normally pay but this seemed like a good deal with the extra items? Also if it's your first purchase on TikTok shop you can often get coupons for more money off.

I don't work for TikTok shop, I promise 😂

ParadiseLaundry · 03/02/2025 20:33

It won't let me add a screenshot for some reason 🤔

But it's the Renew and Rejuvenate bundle by Jarmabox and comes with 2 full size Ren products and some Rodial samples

LoafofSellotape · 03/02/2025 20:36

Are you using H and S for itchy scalp? That's the only one that works in my experience.

TheCatCameBack112 · 03/02/2025 20:38

I use Neutrogen t gel and it works a treat

HipHipWhoRay · 03/02/2025 22:17

Vichy dercos also really good. Although a bit more like a treatment like Nizoral. I also love PK, but only at half price!

fuckthemail · 12/02/2025 09:54

Thanks all and sorry only just came back on to see all the new replies.

I actually caved and bought PK. And the dandruff is gone. It clearly really suits me! I have tried so many alternatives over the years and this is the only one that's ever worked for me

I spent hours trying to find a 'dupe' but nothing out there with the same ingredients really (some similar but they had loads of extra ingredients too)

Thanks again though and hopefully this thread might help others as what suits me might not suit someone else

I just feel awful 'wasting' the best part of £60 on fucking shampoo!!!! But the dandruff was just awful by the end

Hairetic anti-dandruff shampoo worked for me in a trial, but I can't find it anywhere! Hopefully it will be in the UK soon.
