My skincare regime is crap - help me!

I have visible pores on my face. I;ve just bought some of those Olay 7X masks and they are very good and worth a go if you havent tried them.

But, generally I am crap with my skin - just use Simple wipes everyday and moisture cream

Do you think there would be a noticable change (i.e. they would be less visible and less opened) on my pores if I cleansed and toned everyday?

YES. Those wipes are Ok for one off but not every day, especially if you wear make up. Do you have facials? I reckon they help with big pores.

droopytits · 06/05/2008 22:01

I have only ever had one facial.

My skin is quite oily too. So you think that if I cleansed and toned it would be better for the pores?

Are those cleanser and toners in 1 any good or are they crap too?

Clinique do a range which I really do recommend. here

droopytits · 06/05/2008 22:11

cant see the link ballet. What was it?

I have tried the dramatically different moisturiser by clinique and it was soooo greasy and heavy for me.

maidamess is right, wipes only for emergencies.

a cleanse and moisturiser twice a day really helps. i also have big pores. i like the tesco b natural skin brightening cleanser. it's creamy but not greasy.

dont like dramatically different either.

the estee lauder idealist pore minimiser is really expensive but it completely works. it is AMAZING. survived on magazine samples so far but may consider a purchase on my birthday or christmas. you can really see your pores shrink.

foofi · 06/05/2008 22:25

Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish is my recommendation.

(just changed my name!)

really mama? I have tried the clinique pore minimiser and didnt like it - left a horrible film on my skins and didnt reduce them either.

I may now have to try the estee lauder one.

Do you also notice a difference by cleansing twice a day?

Fancy liz earle stuff too - heard lots of good things about them foofi

mamalovesmojitos · 06/05/2008 22:35

yes and yes.

was always a bit lazy bout cleansing, just using a splash of water or soap but cleansing properly really works.

get a sample of estee lauder one first as it is so pricey.

really fancy the liz earle, but apparently the bnatural one i recommended is pretty close to it. buy muslin cloth to take off the cleanser with.

however even tho tesco one is cheap if you have a bit of cash liz earle dont test on animals.

triffictits · 06/05/2008 22:40

well i did have a bit of cash but now i need to spend it! Everytime i look in this section i end up spending money

Heathcliffscathy · 06/05/2008 22:41

i'm with foofi.

lilolilmanchester · 06/05/2008 22:43

Liz Earle vote from me too!

lilolilmanchester · 06/05/2008 22:43

(come to think about it, Liz Earle gets so much free advertising on this site, shouldn't we be getting a discount by now?)

BalletMum · 08/05/2008 20:00

Sorry, have been busy the last couple of days enjoying the sunshine!!! The link works when I do so not sure what I have done. Clinique do a whole pore minimising range. All really good-worth a look. The Liz Earle stuff is a bit rich especially if you found Clinique dramatically diff moisturiser too heavy-as I do. I use their gel now which is brilliant on my skin.

lilolilmanchester · 08/05/2008 22:22

It was Liz Earle cleanse and polish, not moisturiser, being recommended. I don't find it rich, but then again I don't have sensitive skin. I've been using it for a while and skin generally a lot brighter and pores not so noticeable.

binkleandflip · 08/05/2008 22:26

You cant shrink pores - but you can disguise them.

Anything which claims to reduce pores if LYING. 'Reduce the appearance of pores' is worth a try
