Leave them. You must suffer to be gorgeous, girl.

And crocs are not the way forward

WallOfSilence · 06/05/2008 21:15

I have a sore big toe too

Think it was a combination of bare sweaty feet inside shoes on a warm day & the shoes rubbing.

I didn't pop my blister, but it'll go down overnight... just wear other shoes tomorrow, not very easy to do in my office though Today I wanted to sit in my bare feet until I realised I better not!

winebeforepearls · 06/05/2008 21:15

also by popping them you will make them much more sore.

I would recommend getting drunk quite early on if they're hurting.

andiem · 06/05/2008 21:17

blister plasters will protect and help them to heal boots sell them
poor you bet lots of people have blisters as our feet need to toughen up after winter

Lulumama · 06/05/2008 21:18

ok

so no popping

more suffering

lots of booze and plasters

and i will be fine?

thank you x

although i don't so much pop as slide the needle in gently at the side then blob a bit of tea tree on. you know you want to.

me too - I always pop, and strangely enough I dont think they hurt as much once they are popped

AitchTwoCiao · 06/05/2008 21:30

that's why i do it. can't imagine wanting to keep blisters on the soles of my feet... i'd do them last thing at night then leave the blister to dry out while i slept.

andiem · 06/05/2008 22:18

aagh no popping no popping can lead to infection

buy proper blister plasters are specially designed for healing

popping should only be done by hcp and is called deroofing

andiem runs back out agin tutting and shaking head at indiscriminate poppers

AitchTwoCiao · 06/05/2008 22:20

pah, i bet you're an HCP trying to keep yourself in a job.

pop it, lulu... POP IT!

AitchTwoCiao · 06/05/2008 22:20
Grin
chonky · 06/05/2008 22:21

I'm a popper too. Pop them and then cover them with a Compeed blister plaster - sorted.

andiem · 06/05/2008 22:23

no no aitch am child health so they don't wear wedges and get blisters not the ones I look after anyway

but know popping is wrong wrong wrong as is letting wounds dry out (another idea of yours I have noted) they need to be kept moist and warm yum

AitchTwoCiao · 06/05/2008 22:32

it's hardly a wound, it's a pin-prick. tea tree oil, leave it alone, go to sleep, don't walk on it until the morning. a plaster (with the hon exc of compeed) keeping it warm and moist is more likely to keep it squidgy and painful.

andiem · 06/05/2008 22:41

aitch my last comment was a bit tongue in cheek pop away

triffictits · 06/05/2008 22:42

go on pop it

and when the water comes out after the initial sting it will feel so much better. Just make sure you keep it clean to avoid infections

AitchTwoCiao · 06/05/2008 22:42

worry not about me, andie, i wear birkies in hot weather, not silly high heels.

andiem · 06/05/2008 22:43
