In August my long hair got badly matted’ mostly on the back and right side. My hair was thick and was the length of my lower back.
I had to go to a hair dressers and they tried to tease out the matted mess but hair was snapping and a lot of it had to be cut out as the hair ball was not getting any better.
I was left with shoulder length hair which had considerably less volume on the right hand side as lot of it had snapped and been cut short on that side.
Since August it has grown a few inches and for some reason the right side looks shorter and it’s becoming more obvious that there is less volume there. I recently got my hair coloured and asked the stylist what I should do and he suggested another cut with about 3 inches off as the right side is very wispy and this is why it looks so uneven.
I really don’t want this much hair cut off. Has anyone been in a similar situation and can they offer any advice please?
He said that not getting it cut will mean it will take longer to get the volume and length i eventually want.
Is cutting really the option here?
