I have posted in home decoration too, but posting on here because I think there are a lot of avid shoppers on here and you may have spotted this.

I love this quilt and am looking for it or something similar. Have you seen it anywhere? Thanks!

Have you looked on Etsy or eBay??? It looks like an American pattern to me, Etsy has lots of niche home ware

I was also going to say Etsy. This is the kind of thing my mum makes from scratch and people are always asking if they can buy them, so there must be people out there selling them

They are one off pieces, they take months to hand make a quilt like that. DD and I made one once as a craft project, it took weeks and it was not a big quilt. You would have to commission one or look for something (as others have said) on Etsy. Don’t expect it to be cheap though!

My DM used to make stuff like this. Takes forever

It's quite old in retail terms - at least from 2019 because of the blog post linked below, so unlikely to be in shops still, and as people have said, it's fairly American, so it's possible she bought it there in the first place. She talks a lot about prowling around antique shops, markets and TK Maxx in this blog post - https://www.tat-london.co.uk/post/knock-knock-with-emma-abrahams

The style is very Williams Sonoma or possibly Pottery Barn, so check there - maybe on Ebay in the US, as it's a few years old, but Williams Sonoma has a similar quilt in stock at the moment, although you will need a VPN to view the page on their site - https://www.google.com/search?q=%22williams+sonoma%22+josh+young+quilt but it is SEVEN HUNDRED DOLLARS !!!! in a king size.

So cheaper to buy a sewing machine and learn to make it yourself, I think - could be your Spring project!

Knock Knock With Emma Abrahams

So this week's Knock Knock, we have the excellent Emma Abrahams! Emma & I have never actually met, but I know she is excellent as she was one of my first customers. Since then, we have kept a good little correspondence going, and I have been able to sn...

This throw / bedspread from John Lewis doesn't have the lovely geometric pattern but it does have a similar vibe.

My mum makes quilts,

Is it the pattern or the colours you like?

It looks like mostly free machining on white so not too expensive.

My mum charges a few hundred to make them but she only makes them for friends, that's not a business price.

oh well done for finding her @astoundedgoat ! It feels a bit stalkery, or I'd ask her on Insta where she got her quilt! Their house was up for sale which is where I saw the quilt (on Rightmove). It's a lovely house and I do like the way they've decorated it.

Thank you everyone for your tips - I'll take a look on Etsy. I'm not sure (well I'm very sure that it's not) that it's within my current capabilities to make such a quilt.

It's both the pattern and the colours @Octavia64 I like - I want a quilt with a bit of red but not overwhelmingly so.
